Pro Dance Prep's Owner and National Director, Katie Ann, is recognized as a leading professional dance team expert throughout the country. With over 24 years of dance experience, she has been through numerous dance auditions, workshops/conventions, teams, studios, and styles.

Katie began dancing at the age of 4 and has trained competitively in all styles, earning 5 National Titles between the age of 9 & 18. She attended New World School of the Arts in Downtown Miami for her freshman and sophomore year of high school. Finishing her last 2 years of high school online, she danced as an apprentice for a modern dance company in upstate NY. Katie then moved to the big apple to dance for NYU/Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with her B.F.A. in Dance, minoring in Nutrition and getting certified as a Personal Trainer. As she moved back home to Miami, FL, she decided to take a chance on the sports industry. Katie cheered as a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader for 3 seasons, chosen for cover girl 2 of those seasons, traveled on 3 military tours to visit over 15 bases throughout the world, received Rookie of the Year her 1st year, Veteran of the Year her last year & ended as a captain in the NFL. Not to mention, probably the most significant accolade she received during her time there... the moment she met her husband, the Miami Dolphins Mascot.

Before taking over Pro Dance Prep, Katie & her husband retired from the Miami Dolphins and made their move to Chicago, IL. There, she decided she wasn't done just yet. Katie celebrated her final year in pro sports dance/cheer by dancing as a Chicago Luvabull in the NBA.

 

Currently, Katie resides in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. enjoying the success of PDP and watching the growth of her clients and her company.
